Byakudan Aji or how to combine a certain amount of wild Timor sandalwood roots and upper chunks in order to catch as many nuances as possible.

Distilled in a vertical distillation set up with 3 soaking day period, it gave an oil that will give you the sensation of putting a piece of sandalwood over an incense heater and letting yourself go towards appeasement.

After an incensish lemony blast (think of fresh frankincense without the wet wood feeling that some hydrodistilled sandal can give), you get greated by a rich perfumey santalol blast, almost alcolic.

After this glow, the smell emanating from the roots, deeper notes comes forward (think creaminess, light caramel).

The drydown gently brings it all to a powdery feeling.
